There are a number of factors to consider in choosing a muscle relaxant for patients with a phaeochromocytoma. It has been suggested that pancuronium is the muscle relaxant of choice, i-3 This report describes a severe hypertensive response associated with pancuronium in a patient undergoing surgery for the removal ofa phaeochromocytoma.
